Microsoft Visual Studio |
M-eux Test allows you to create and execute test cases using Visual Studio Professional, Premium and Ultimate. You can execute test cases with Visual Studio Test and Microsoft Test Manager, but still need another version of Visual Studio to create your mobile test case. |
Eclipse |
We support the stand-alone editions of these versions of Eclipse, as well as the packaged editions that ship with the Android Development Tools (ADT) Bundle. You can use our Eclipse plugin-in on both 32-bit and 64-bit PCs, using both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows. However, we do require the version of Eclipse to be a 32-bit version. |
APPLICATIONS
Targeting both native, web-based and hybrid applications on all major mobile platforms, including Android 1.5 and above, iOS 4.2 and above, Windows RT, Windows Phone 7.5 and above, Windows Mobile and Windows CE, M-eux Test allows you to test your application on a wide range of devices.
BROWSERS
We support the following browsers:
- On Android devices: The system browser (through our Test Browser), Dolphin, Opera and Google Chrome.
- On iOS Devices: The default Safari browser (through our Test Browser).
- On BlackBerry devices: The out of the box browser.
- On Windows CE and Windows Mobile, we support testing of Internet Explorer 5 and 6.
DEPLOYMENT
ARCHITECTURE
- The Agent is installed on the mobile device and it is responsible for the recording and the replay of the test commands.
- The Device is connected to the PC using either Wi-Fi or an USB connection.
- The Device Manager is the gateway between the connected devices and the extension inside the extended IDE’s.
- The architecture allows the connection of multiple devices. One test script can execute against multiple devices.
OFFSHORE/REMOTE TESTING: WAN CONNECTOR
The Wanconnector in combination with RDS (Remote Device Screen) allows you to create, maintain and monitor your test cases from a remote location. You will be able to connect a device to the wanconnector in Country A and create/run the script from Country B.
SHUNRA SUPPORT
The joint solution features Jamo’s M-Eux technology for mobile application functional testing and Shunra’svCat for precise emulation of real-world network conditions. M-Eux recognizes objects on a mobile device screen just as an end-user would; it automatically captures these objects and end user interaction with the objects in order to generate a reusable test script, making regression testing and other functional testing quick and easy. This is particularly valuable for mobile applications which are frequently and regularly updated. Jamo Solutions also analyzes the functions executed in the test script in order to deliver insight into process, memory usage and battery consumption.
Shunra’svCat solution ensures that the functional testing is performed in an environment representative of the real-world networks being accessed by end users. Mobile devices are connected to vCat via a wireless hotspot capability; vCat impairs that wireless connection with network conditions that precisely emulate real-world mobile networks, including dynamic bandwidth constraints, latency, jitter and packet loss. vCat also delivers performance analysis capabilities such as individual resource size and load times, and automated performance optimization suggestions based on a proprietary Shunra ruleset that has proven to improve mobile performance by up to 40%.
“The precision of Jamo Solution’s end user capture ability is invaluable to mobile testing teams,” said Jacques Wouters, Jamo Solutions CEO. “However, testing in a pristine lab or development environment is not indicative of real-world usage. Shunra’s ability to virtualize the real-world network in the lab environment and deliver a deep performance analysis is a perfect complement to our solution. We are proud to partner with Shunra to jointly deliver a highly reliable and highly repeatable mobile application testing solution.”
